Perry County, Tennessee, will hold a public meeting at 2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 20, 2018, in the County Mayor’s office of the Perry County Courthouse to discuss the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program administered by the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development.
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the guidelines of the program and to solicit input from area residents regarding potential uses of CDBG funds. CDBG funds can be used for public infrastructure such as water line extensions, water system improvements, sewer line extensions, sewer system improvements, housing rehabilitation, and other community development projects such as fire protection, drainage, rural health departments, etc.
All residents or entities with projects are encouraged to attend this meeting or mail suggestions to the County Mayor’s office, Perry County Courthouse, Public Square, Linden, TN 37096.
